For those of you not familiar with Maggie, the founding dog of The Maggie Society, here she is! While she is no longer with us in body, she is very much with us in spirit, through all of the hard work of our amazing volunteers!

In March of 2020, the World Health Organization declared Covid 19 a pandemic and much of the world "shut down". With more people at home, it seemed like a great time to get a dog and adoption rates soared.
As people returned to school and work, some found that they no longer had the time or interest in the dog. Shelters filled up and rescue organizations were overwhelmed. Many rescues around the country closed forever. The Maggie Society's need for foster homes and financial support is greater than ever. |
