![]() There is a fairly good possibility that you have seen the recent article in regards to a local (NC) home that had 200-300 animals seized from the property. In the event that you haven't seen it, here's an article to the most recent story: www.witn.com/content/news/More-than-100-animals-seized-from-Craven-County-property-508321691.html There have been so many rescues that have stepped in to help out to ensure that each animal has an opportunity at a second chance. The Maggie Society recently took in several of the dogs from the situation. With this many new dogs, and so many dogs in the area needing assistance, we need help. Situations like the one mentioned above is only one of the reasons why we beg for fosters daily. You might think, "why do they need so much help?" or "maybe someone else can and will step up to help" or maybe even "I just don't think that I could ever foster - I'd get way too attached." Well, here's the deal. We need help to save precious dogs and puppies that might not have an opportunity to live their best life. YOU CAN HELP! Fostering is something that can be so rewarding! Here are the basics that you need to know if you want to be a foster for The Maggie Society.
We can do more when we have more fosters. We would love to have you consider becoming a foster - even if it's a temporary foster while we continue to help the dogs in our area that are coming into rescue due to the above situation.
