Well, hello there! I see you came back to check for an update! I'm so grateful for you! Let me start by apologizing. You see, we had this big storm thing here they call a Hurricane. Luckily I was safe and secure inside when all the rain and wind came through... But unfortunately, my house lost power! Let me tell you - I got really used to that AC and lights!! I'm thankful that it's back on now, but I got to spend major quality time hanging with my foster mom and her resident dogs, Charlie and Blue. I met Charlie, and let me just say, Charlie is super awesome. I think I might have a crush on him! I also met Blue - he's huge!! I'm not sure if he likes me back, but I'm trying to win him over with my charming personality. Here are a few pictures my foster mom took of me while the hurricane was happening with her little bit of battery life she had! So I finally gained the courage to explore the back yard a bit. I'm feeling much better now and the swelling in my feet and legs has started to go down. I even have some hair growing back in!! And I'm getting some muscle tone back, too! I've gotten enough energy to start frolicking with the resident dogs. It's amazing!!! I also tacked the stairs inside the house today... except one problem... I got to the top and didn't know how to get back down. Foster mom didn't laugh at me too much and she carried me down! Oh... you know I love my foster mom... and I know she loves me back... but tonight... oh tonight she did something AWFUL! She gave me a bath. There are no pictures of that horrifying experience. I did not care for that one bit! I'll not forget that experience... but I will forgive my foster mom for it. I know it was in my best interest... having a skin condition stinks... literally! Here are some super videos of me playing!!
So, I know this blog is all about me, but I want to introduce you to a new dog in the care of The Maggie Society! This pup's name is Howie the Hound Pup! Look at how cute he is!! Howie the Hound Pup has a possible broken leg. He was actually seen dropped in the median of a busy highway by a car that then sped off. When he scurried into the road, he was hit by a car. When he was picked up by the local police department, they immediately called The Maggie Society. Of course, they didn't say no!! They don't say no even when it's going to cost a lot to get the pup healthy... I mean, look at me! They didn't give up on me and I barely resembled a dog! Howie the Hound Pup is now in foster care and has seen a vet. He is being monitored for now and will need LOTS of orthopedic care! On behalf of Howie the Hound Pup and myself, I am asking you to consider donating to our continued medical care needs. We can't get better without supporters like you that care about pups like us! Any additional funds raised will go towards treating the next medical need for one of the dogs and pups within the care of The Maggie Society. It seems like this whole rescue thing never sleeps... and there is always a dog to save. I know that I'm thankful for the good folks that care so that this rescue dog can sleep well at night. I'll update you more on Howie the Hound Pup's condition and give you new pictures of me later this week! Hopefully by then I'll have some more hair!! Until then, hugs, kisses, and tail wags! XOXO - Anna Christi

Cats are very different from dogs. If you have owned both of them, then you will know what I am saying here. First of all, cats are far easier to deal with than dogs. A cat does not need as much attention as a dog does. Also, cats are far more intelligent that dogs, that is a known fact. I am not saying that cats are inherently better, but that is where the facts point to, that is what I am saying.

Our neighbors will come to our home often and they are familiar to our dog. If they come our dog won’t be bothered. But one day our neighbor came, we were not home, and our daughter was alone. Our dog stood between the neighbor and our daughter and never allowed the neighbor to take one step forward.
